The main driving force behind the GBT Academy is the delivery of meticulous training and the wholistic wellbeing of our students.
The GBT Academy course is run during the school day and is designed to nurture and prepare our students for placement into company level finishing schools. The program is modelled on the training level and curriculum of such programs to ensure students receive the best possible preparation to allow them to pursue a professional career in dance. Students may attend the course from half a day per week, number of days will be determined with the teacher, parents and students to cater for individual needs.

Admission to the GBTA Program is by application & audition.

GBTA students may attend after hours classes at GBT for RAD exams, Jazz, Tap & Contemporary if they wish.

GBTA students are generally also expected to join the appropriate performance group for their syllabus level/age.

In addition to the Academy program, after hours classes may also be taken which include RAD syllabus, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Contemporary and Performance Groups.

Academic education for GBT Academy students is by arrangement with the students Academic school. We have an official arrangement for student leave to attend the part-time program with Blaxland High School and have individual arrangements with several other primary & high schools.

As our intake is capped and entry only offered to suitably dedicated dancers, we are able to offer meticulous elite level training in a bespoke program without students having to forgo their academic education. .
Meticulous Elite-level Training​

The boutique GBT Academy course is designed to nurture and prepare our students for placement into full-time finishing schools at around age 15-17. The program is modelled on the training level and curriculum of such programs to ensure students receive the best possible preparation to allow them to pursue a professional career in dance.

The GBTA program is dedicated to nurture the whole person with a focus on growth mindset, mind & body wellness and self awareness.

All GBTA students receive regular internal assessments which allow students and parents to be updated on progress.

Glenbrook Ballet Theatre’s core focus is passion & possibility. We wish to enable our students to develop not only into dancers but also into disciplined, confident, dedicated and positive individuals.
Our aim is to instil a love of dance and a pride of workmanship in our students which shows through in their dancing as well as in their day to day lives.
