Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre & Contemporary Classes

Our Classical classes follow the RAD syllabus plus open work. Careful development of technique and artistry are nurtured along with musical awareness and performance quality. As Glenbrook Ballet Theatre is a classically focussed school, students must also participate in ballet classes to be eligible for Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre  Lyrical &/or Contemporary classes.
Pre-Junior School  
​

Pre-Junior classes are an introduction to more formal ballet & dance training. These energetic and engaging classes encourage poise, balance, coordination, imagination and technique. 

​

From Primary there is a minimum commitment of two classical

syllabus classes per week to be eligible for the RAD Exam.

Available Classes Include:

  • RAD Pre-Primary Ballet

  • RAD Primary Ballet

  • Pre-Jnr Jazz/Lyrical

  • Private Lessons

  • Cygnets Program - Level 1 (Prim only)

Minimum Age

Pre-Primary; 5yrs,

Primary; 6yrs

Pre-Jnr Jazz; 5yrs,

Junior School

Junior school classes are the commencement of more focused classical ballet/dance training.

​

These levels involve a minimum commitment of two classical syllabus classes per week.

Available Classes Include:

  • RAD Grade 1 Ballet

  • RAD Grade 2 Ballet 

  • Junior Jazz 

  • Junior Tap

  • Junior Lyrical

  • Stretch Class

  • Private Lessons

  • Cygnets Program - Level 1

Minimum Age​
Junior 1: 7yrs
Junior 2: 8yrs

Middle School  
​

Middle school classes further develop performance quality and artistry along with more complex technique and musical awareness.

These levels involve a minimum commitment of two

classical syllabus classes per week.

Available Classes Include:

  • RAD Grades 3, 4 & 5 Ballet 

  • Mid Jazz 

  • Mid Tap

  • Mid Lyrical

  • Musical Theatre

  • Kicks, Leaps, Turns (KLT)

  • Stretch Class

  • Cygnets Program - Level 2

  • GBTA/ GBTAspire

Senior School

Senior school classes are the culmination of many years of study. Classes focus on technical accuracy & brilliance along with an accomplished sense of artistry & musicality.

These levels involve a minimum commitment of two

classical classes per week.

Glenbrook Ballet Theatre is a dance stuio that offers high-quality ballet and dance lessons for children and adults in the Blue Mountains, Glenbrook, Blaxland, Penrith, and Glenmore Park areas. Our programs cater to all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, including Adults & Silver Swans.
